Jorja Smith a débuté en 2016 avec Blue lights, son 1er single salué unanimement. En 2017, elle a accompagné Bruno Mars dans sa tournée américaine, a travaillé avec Drake (More life) et a co-écrit avec Kendrick Lamar I am (son single pour la BO de Black panther). Elle a commencé en 2018 en remportant un prix avant de sortir un single inédit, Let me down. Peu après, elle s'est lancée dans sa troisième tournée sold out en Angleterre. Lost and found, son 1er album, est un manifeste artistique, fruit de 2 ans de travail. Jorja Smith, qui va fêter ses 21 ans, y mêle esprit pop, un charisme étincelant et une façon singulière de raconter des histoires. "La relève de la soul britannique que le monde entier attend" selon Les Inrockuptibles.
